Clock strikes upon the hour, And the class begins to end, Still enough time to figure out, How to chase students’ blues away? Increase students' access to literary fiction and writing standards through coding, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking. Strategies, resources, and tools including coding and collaboration using Ozobots, the Applied Digital Skills curriculum, Google CS/Scratch, digital portfolios, oral rehearsal, and reflections were used to increase engagement in the ELA Classroom. Participants will leave with strategies to integrate learning about literature through coding, computational thinking, reflection, and collaboration. Come see these strategies successfully implemented in middle school.
