During this hands-on workshop, we will discuss diverse methods to seamlessly connect science and literacy using Science A-Z’s instructional materials. Together we’ll address specific SC standards and discover ways to use multilevel resources to effectively integrate the content areas of science and literacy. We will dive into non-fiction books, Investigation Files (close reading for Science!), Project Based Learning packs, Interactive Science Lessons, videos, hands-on learning activities, teacher lessons, and more… Our session will provide effective and efficient ways to: • Bring Science into the reading block • Align multilevel resources to your state’s Next-Generation Science Standards • Connect Literacy and Science • Combine fiction with non-fiction to support K-5 Science instruction All session attendees will be given complimentary access to the RAZ Plus and Science A-Z platform for 3 months.
