Together we’ll address specific SC standards and discover ways to use multilevel resources to effectively integrate the content areas of science and literacy. We will dive into non-fiction books, Investigation Files (close reading for Science!), Project Based Learning packs, Interactive Science Lessons, videos, hands-on learning activities, teacher lessons, and more… Our session will provide effective and efficient ways to: • Bring Science into the reading block • Align multilevel resources to your state’s Next-Generation Science Standards • Connect Literacy and Science • Combine fiction with non-fiction to support K-5 Science instruction All session attendees will be given complimentary access to the RAZ Plus and Science A-Z platform for 3 months.

Meet iGen. This mobile-first generation occupies classrooms from kindergarten to twelfth grade and appears to live equally in the digital world as in the real one. In this session, we will investigate the identity, trends, and preferences of the iGeneration as well as discuss the effect technology has had on students. Participants will identify ways in which technology can support student growth and develop strategies for student engagement and academic success.
